The location of the hotel was great, with easy access to public transportation and a supermarket nearby. the staff were also friendly and spoke good English.
The cleanliness of the bedrooms was a major issue. the rooms had a strong unpleasant odor and were not cleaned properly.

My recent stay at 7 Rivers was perfect for my travel purposes. I only needed a few hours of sleep before catching a bus or train from the nearby station, which is just a short walk away. The affordable price of less than €30 for a double room was a great value. The staff was kind and helpful, and the cleanliness of the rooms has improved since my last visit. I appreciate that everything still looks new, and the hostel is located in a quiet area.
I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

For the price we paid, we got excellent value. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for getting a few hours of sleep. The location was ideal, just a short walk from the bus and train station. The staff treated us well and made our stay hassle-free.
Breakfast delights could use some improvement, maybe more variety of options would be nice.

Okay, so let's find a silver lining in this dark cloud. One positive aspect of this place was the location. It was conveniently situated in a lively neighborhood, so there was always something to do or see nearby. Another advantage was the decent bed. At least I had a somewhat comfortable place to rest my head, even though the rest of the room was a mess. I will say that whoever was in charge of the bed did a decent job.
Oh boy, where do I even start? First of all, the noise in this place was absolutely unbearable!

The refurbished place looks good. Polite and helpful staff tried their best to make up for lack of comfort, safety, and basic hygiene. Good location, close to metro, supermarkets, zoo, and Colombo Mall. Several bus lines operate in the area.
